Midland Warriors RFC wishes to seek applications for a Player Coach (assistant/forward specific) for their Men’s Senior First XV.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the club’s rugby management team, working with the First XV Head Coach, Player Coordinator and DOR.

This is an ideal opportunity for a Senior player who is looking to get into coaching. The successful candidate would be joining an experienced coaching/management team and get to play with a young talented squad.

Role Requirements

• Reporting to the club’s Senior Head Coach and Director of Rugby
• Coaching the First XV currently competing in the Leinster League.
• Involvement with all aspects of First XV including recruitment, development and performance of players.

Qualifications Required

• The successful candidate would ideally have an IRFU accredited coaching qualification but not essential, development of player’s and coaches alike is part of our ethos.
• Previous coaching experience and/or playing experience in Senior rugby.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

The closing date for applications is Friday the 12th of July. The club will conduct an interview process with the view to having the selected candidate in place for pre-season at the end of July 2024. All applications will be treated in strictest confidence.
